2009 Treasure Hunt Clues
Clues will be listed the DAY AFTER they are published
Friday, May 8
In our town art is all 'round. This playful clue is on the ground. On the northwest corner of 7th and Main. You'll find the clue that starts the game. Don't run or rush it's not a race. Tomorrow's clue will set the pace.
Saturday, May 9th
First too hard and then too easy. This years clues may just be cheesy. Don't you fret and don't despair. We hid the key with Utmost care. ABC is 123. And Z is 26. find the places and the numbers. Then sort out the mix.
Sunday, May 10th
Check the map for a sign. Where neighbors paths now align. Two numbers from south sign you need. Multiply for the hunts first lead. On north sign are many places. Remember them or repeat your paces.
Council Bluffs is a treasure in itself and to encourage our families to rediscover all of the history and beauty of our community, Celebrate CB has added this new, free family activity!
The city-wide treasure hunt will take participants around the city to many of the historical sites you may have forgotten about or didn't even know existed! As you and your family hunt for treasure (our fabulous prizes), you'll also discover our community's treasures.

Remember! You must have a map to claim your prize and the only place to get your Official Map is at Bucky's- 16th & Broadway, 35th & Broadway, South 24th Street and Madison Avenue. Maps will be available beginning on May 2nd!
CLUES!
The first clue will be provided Friday, May 8th during the opening ceremonies for Celebrate CB at Bayliss Park. This clue will be reprinted on Sunday in the Daily Nonpareil, where clues will be offered beginning on Saturday, May 9th. The Monday clue can be obtained from the Council Bluffs Public Library and will be printed in the Nonpareil along with Tuesday's clue.
An additional clue will be offered on Tuesday, May 12th at Bayliss Park, during Clean Sweep. Those who show up to clean our town will get an extra edge, as this clue will not be printed in the paper and will be available only to those who come to Clean Sweep. Clues will be posted the day after they run in the newspaper at celebratecb.org or celebrate council bluffs page on Face Book.

Treasure Hunt Basics
- Who Can Participate?
- The Treasure Hunt will be loads of fun for people of all ages! Families are encouraged to work together and join the hunt.
- How Do We Get Started?
- You MUST have an Official Treasure Map. Maps are available for free at Bucky's Express on North 16th Street and Broadway, 35th and Broadway, South 24th Street and Madison Avenue. Maps will be available soon, so plan to get yours!
- What Are We Looking For?
- A Big Gold Key! No digging, climbing or trespassing! The key will be located within the city limites on public property.

WE FOUND THE KEY!
- We Found the Key? What Do We Do Now?
- There will be a phone number to call on the key when you find it. Call that number and hang onto your Official Map and the Official Key. To claim the prize, winners must present the Official Key and the Official Map. (Must be 18 years or older to claim the prize - see official rules for all of the details.)
